A recent arts-oriented group, sponsored by Jim Goodman (owner of WRAL in Raleigh) and his business CBC unveiled its $80 million dollar proposal for downtown, between Spruce and Poplar Street.

The area would include multiple theaters, performance space, Black Theater Festival Hall of Fame Museum, and the new downtown Library.*
